Time and Consciousness with Julia Mossbridge

Julia Mossbridge, PhD, is a Visiting Scholar in the Psychology Department  at Northwestern University, a Fellow at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, the Science Director at Focus@Will Labs, and an Associated Professor in Integral and Transpersonal Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She is the author of Unfolding: The Perpetual Science of Your Soul's Work and The Garden: An Inside Experiment. She is also the co-author, with Imants Baruss, of Transcendent Mind: Re-thinking the Science of Consciousness. She is coauthor with Theresa Cheung of The Premonition Code: The Science of Precognition, How Sensing the Future Can Change Your Life. The website for this book is https://thepremonitioncode.com/.

Here she discusses the paradox that our understanding of time in theoretical physics differs dramatically from our day-to-day experience. She points out that personal experience is the basis of empirical science. She also describes research in parapsychology related to precognition. She and host, Jeff Mishlove, both discuss life-changing personal experiences of precognition. Then she describes her "Positive Precog" program and her vision of a world in which people skilled at precognition become central to many areas of human endeavor.

The Reality and Significance of Magick with Dean Radin

Dean Radin, PhD, is chief scientist at the Institute of Noetic Science in Novato, California. He is author of The Conscious Universe, Entangled Minds, Supernormal, and Real Magic.

Here he describes a series of personal synchronicities that both troubled him and led him toward a greater appreciation of esoteric forms of magick. He describes the many parallels between the traditions of psychical research and parapsychology and those of magick and the western esoteric tradition. The magical worldview, or philosophical idealism, also offers the possibility of better explaining the empirical findings of parapsychology. He also sees parallels between magickal rituals and parapsychological experiments.

The Spiritual Implications of Parapsychology with Charles T. Tart

Charles T. Tart, PhD, is emeritus professor of psychology at the University of California, Davis, as well as the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. He is a past-president of the Parapsychological Association. He has published over 100 scientific papers in parapsychology. He is editor of several anthologies including Altered States of Consciousness, Transpersonal Psychologies, Mind at Large, and Body Mind Spirit: Exploring the Parapsychology of Spirituality. Books that he has authored include Psi: Scientific Studies in the Psychic Realm, States of Consciousness, The End of Materialism, Learning to Use Extrasensory Perception, On Being Stoned, Waking Up: Overcoming the Obstacles to Human Potential, and Open Mind – Discriminating Mind. His website is https://www.paradigm-sys.com/.

Here he shares his thoughts on how the scientific method can be applied to provide better answers than we currently have regarding the effectiveness of various spiritual practices for particular individuals. He notes that the data of parapsychology point us toward the realization that consciousness is capable of receiving information across time and space, independent of the limitations of the human organism. Parapsychology also provides insights into the possibility of human survival after death.

The Sociology of SORRAT with James McClenon

James McClenon, PhD has been a sociology professor and licensed clinical social worker. He is author of Deviant Science: The Case of Parapsychology, Wondrous Events: Foundations of Religious Belief, Wondrous Healing: Shamanism, Human Evolution and the Origin of Relgion, and The Entity Letters: A Sociologist on the Trail of a Supernatural Mystery.
