Mentorship Program

There are great disparities in the availability of career resources for students of parapsychology worldwide. Some countries have several academic centers tending to the professional development of students, while other countries barely have one skilled researcher.

In service to our international mission to promote scholarship and scientific inquiry into currently unexplained aspects of human experience, the PA has established a mentorship program to connect professionals and college/university students around the globe.

Following the completion of a short application and match-making process, mentor/mentoree pairs will be asked to commit to a one-year term to engage in monthly exchanges, address career questions, strengthen academic projects/grant applications, encourage participation in PA events and publications, and advance membership inside the PA.

To acknowledge the mentoring efforts of PA members, regardless of their participation in the program, an Outstanding Mentorship Award has been created to complement our already-established Schmeidler Outstanding Student Award.

PA Professional Members and PA Student Members are invited to apply for the mentorship program using the links below. Note that the PA may or may not be able to facilitate a match at the time of application, depending on the availability suitable participants.

If you are currently signed into this website as a PA Professional or Student member, you will find a link to an application below. If you are not already a member of the PA, join here.
