About Me
After completing a bachelor of liberal arts degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, I earned a doctorate in naturopathic medicine and a master of science in integrative medical research from the National University of Natural Medicine. I also received a Certificate in Psychedelic Therapy and Research from the California Institute of Integral Studies. In 2020 I founded a non-profit I call the Synaptic Institute with three objectives, provide integrative mental healthcare, train psychedelic facilitators, and conduct research. My research interests include a global perspective on consciousness, particularly altered states of consciousness via psychedelics, shamanic methods, and meditation. I am currently a postdoctoral scholar at the Oregon Health & Science University.
