2012 Outstanding Career Award Winner: John A. Palmer

John A. Palmer was awarded the Outstanding Career Award in 2012. He served three times as President of the Parapsychological Association. He is presently Director of Research at the Rhine Research Center in Durham, and long time Editor of the Journal of Parapsychology. Dr. Palmer has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters, and he is co-author of the book Foundations of Parapsychology: Exploring the Boundaries of Human Capability.

The Parapsychological Association is an international professional organization of scientists and scholars engaged in the study of psi (or 'psychic') experiences, such as telepathy, clairvoyance, psychokinesis, psychic healing, and precognition. First established in 1957, the PA has been an affiliated organization of the American Association for the Advancement of Science since 1969.
