Johann Baptista is currently an undergraduate physics major at Willamette University in Salem, OR, and a student member of the Parapsychological Association. His primary academic interest is the intersection of physics and consciousness, a subject about which he believes parapsychology may have much to contribute. He is also interested in finding ways to improve both the quality of the evidence for psi and its presentation, for mainstream audiences, using interactive visual tools and programs. Together with his colleague, Max Derakhshani, Johann has written sections of two papers examining the evidence for psi from the ganzfeld paradigm and related free-response areas, the last paper also co-written with Patrizio Tressoldi, and published in the Handbook of Parapsychology.
