About Me
Dr Simon Duan is the founder and CEO of Metacomputics Labs researching a postmaterialist science paradigm. He originated the concept of the "Platonic computer" that is made by, of, with and from consciousness. In this new science paradigm, mind and matter are derived from consciousness via platonic computation. Through international collaboration, the Platonic computation model is being applied to spiritual and personal development, innovative healing and healthcare practice, brain science and artificial intelligence.
Simon came from China to the UK to study in the 1980s. After receiving a PhD in Materials Science from Cambridge University, he worked for many years in research and development, technology commercialisation and management consultancy in the UK and China. He has long-standing interests in paranormal research and is a past vice president of the Chinese Parapsychology Association.
